people that came for my repair were very nice and knowable. my medium rating is because of the problem with your call center or your phone system. somehow my call was sent and sch. in panama city. a service man called me asking for my help in finding me. later on, i got a phone call from the panama city office telling me of the mistake. i re-called the same area code 727 number for the 3rd time and got a eve. time. don`t know how this happened. made for a long day of waiting.

I have used Precision for many years. However, Hurricane Helene hit us hard and damaged all three of our garage doors. When I called them about my doors expecting to have to wait weeks for an appointment, they said that they would have someone out the next day. I was astonished. When the service tech showed up the next day, I figured that he was just there to survey the damage and give me an estimate for the repair. Again, I was astonished when he said that he was there to fix the doors, not just inspect them. It turns out that they had brought in extra help from all over the country. Our guy, sadly I have forgotten his name--but he was awesome, told me that he was from Ohio and when he landed they had a truck outfitted and stocked waiting for him. He gave me a list of what needed to be fixed and a price. I agreed and he went right to work. By the end of the afternoon, my doors were repaired and back in operation.

The installation went fine as he was very professional and went through all of the aspects of the Genie operation as needed. What did concern me however is the warranty was communicated by the installer as 3 years and when I questioned that, there was no additional clarity. This shocked me and I almost canceled as I knew the Genie warranty was 10 years. Listed on the invoice as "3 years on parts and labor on parts we replaced". It's understandable for Precision to cap out the warranty for all parts with labor at 3 years but the manufacturer limited warranty is 10 years on the motor. It would seem to me that your customer should be made aware of this and if the motor dies in years 4-10 years they can contact Genie for a new motor if it can't be troubleshooted. Genie is a great product line and they stand by their warranty, as I have gotten a replacement motor in the past when it used to be 15 years. I am only suggesting you explain the full scope of the warranty process for clarity and transparency's sake. All the best. Regards, Dolores Ianni

After 23 years I needed to replace my garage door opener. I reached out to Precious Garage Door which I have used in the past for repairs and once again the service was great. Chad, who was the technician, called to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He installed a new unit in a timely manner, walked through all the updated features for this unit and made sure I knew how to operate it. I highly recommend Precision Garage Door! After they replaced the electronics fried by hurricane power outages, Sean, my service tech proactively asked about my car and phone app. When I admitted that reprogramming them was a mystery, Sean stepped in. carlos was my tech. He was very prompt and called me 30 minutes before his expected arrival which gave me plenty of time to get to the property. He was very friendly and professional. he inspected the unit and explained what the problems were. I asked him if he could fix it today and what was the cost. He said he could and would tell me cost once he looked op cost of materials. in a short time he gave me the costs and we agreed on a price once I recd the seniors discount. Told me it would be a couple of hours and would call me when done. He called me and I came back and checked it out. Excellent job. he showed me how it worked, i tried it a few times and I was super pleased how quiet it was compared to the old one. went over the bill and warranty. great job and service.

My car was trapped in the garage and I needed emergency service due to the approaching hurricane. Precision was unable to make it before the storm, so I was forced to use another company that took advantage of me and overcharged me for two springs. I now believe that the company that performed the emergency repair is a fake, unlicensed company. I wrote a letter to Precision explaining the situation after the storm and requested that they remove the springs that the other company had installed. John Duff provided superior customer service! He carefully listened as I explained the situation and answered all of my questions and concerns about the repair completed by the "fake", unethical company. He removed the springs and replaced with Precision springs and made sure that my garage door and all parts were operating correctly and properly lubricated. He was compassionate, informative, knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He apologized that Precision was unable to make the emergency service call and even apologized for the bad experience that I had with the other company. John is a valuable asset to your company, so I can see why you have him training his colleague. I am also very pleased that Precision will continue to honor my 7 year warranty after having a repair by another company. Believe me... going forward I will only use Precision!
