Good company and service but overpriced! My garage opener door old "the board is fried" on my garage door opener and I needed a new one. Least expensive model was $599, which included $225/hour for labor. I made a big mistake agreeing to it, and he had already started when I looked on Amazon and saw I could get a 4 1/2 star rated belt-drive Chamberlain (I got the less expensive chain drive today) with Installation for $300. So I just made a bad decision! Very personable technician and prompt service (requested online service only this morning), and I used Precision for repair of my opener a few years ago, good repair at reasonable price, and I would use them again for repair, but definitely would not purchase a new opener again from Precision, only because of the extravagant part and labor cost. They did decide to give me a $50 discount and not charge tax, so I paid $550 total. Gave away $300 because I didn't stop long enough to do my research. Oh well!

Please be advised that we had quite a bit of work done on our existing garage door by Alejandro Gonzalez. He and Daron Earle arrived on time and Alejandro listened to all our concerns regarding our garage door. He wrote up 3 scenarios and explained each one explicitly. Once we made our choice, he began the work immediately. It was done to perfection and he explained everything to us once the job was completed. This was by far one of the most pleasnt experiences we’ve had with Overhead...we have used your services in the past. We can’t say enough about this young man, pleasant to talk to, polite, knowledgeable etc. etc, etc. He is definitely an asset to your company. I was going to just do the google review but after reading some of the 1 star reviews here I felt compelled to write a review on this website. Here's the good, broken spring is replaced and as far as I can tell the garage door works well. I got same day service on a Sunday and they got me out of the jamb. This is why I am giving 2 stars. Here's the bad, PRICE! $780 - 80 google home service discount - 100 manager discount. Final bill $600 plus tax ($642). You can get "POWDER COATED" springs from Home Depot for about $80 for a pair. I quoted powder coated because the tech who replace my springs kept bringing this up as if this is some complicated process that costs a lot of money, it's not. Flanged Ball Bearing, about $11 on amazon. End Bearing Plate Left and Right, about $12 dollars on amazon. So $100 for materials. Let's say they charge $100 an hour for labor, which is about how long it took to uninstall and install new springs and bearings and plates. That's $200. I'll even add $50 for weekend even though they say they don't charge overtime and weekend time. They had fuel surcharge of 20 and shop material of 42. The total should not have been more than $312. The people who are giving 5 star reviews either got charged fair price, don't care about being overcharged, or don't know if they were overcharged.

I contacted Precision because the spring on our door had broken. I was not expecting same day service on a Saturday, but you were able to send out Jose who quickly evaluated the problem and provided a quote. While he was replacing the single spring with two new springs (an upgrade), he also pointed out that the framing of the door was no longer securely attached to the block wall around the door and that the brackets holding the cables had buckled slightly when the spring failed and the door fell. He was able to repair those things as well. Our door is once again, in working order and much safer in the event of a storm. I see your vans all over town and my company has used you to repair roll-up doors around our factory. I was very satisfied with Jose and the outstanding job he did at our house. Plus, he was a really nice guy! I'd definitely recommend Precision to others. When we someday replace our opener, I know who to call!

There are few things that upset one's day than to have a multi-hundred pound door opener spring break just when you need the door to open! One call to Precision and the lady gladly set me up with a late day appointment for after I returned home. Jordan, technician, is top shelf! Personable, professional and very knowledgeable. After explaining what needed to be done and fully explaining the prices, he gave me 3 choices removing any undue sales pressure. I purchased a new garage door and opener from Precision in September 2018 (5 months previously). I noticed the weather stripping along the top section of molding had separated from the molding. After failed attempts to caulk and glue the weather stripping back to the molding, I decided to ask Precision to make the repair. Franklin Mosely came out the next day (right on time) and replaced the molding with a new one. It took only 20 minutes and there was no charge. A very happy customer!

Matt came to give the door and opener a tune up. It wasn't operating properly, such as slamming too hard when it closed, and not opening properly either. Having had Precision replace the springs about 2 years ago, I needed to get things working properly, so as not to damage any other components. Matt ran it a few times and adjusted the limits on the opener, adjusted the springs and lubed everything, while explaining the operations to me. Once he was finished with that, I asked him to show me what he had as a replacement for the rubber seal on the bottom panel. So Matt replaced that as well. Looks and runs great. Thanks Matt.

As I got back home from an overnight shift, my garage door would not open. I looked and observed the spring was broken. Immediately I saw an all day ordeal that will prevent me from sleeping. But NO!!!! I called Precision and they had a technician at my house within an hour and half. He took care of the issue and the spring was fixed... I was in bed at around 0945.
